Videos are found based on the title, description and tags.
It’s important to have a catchy title to persuade people to watch your video.
Start the description with your website to help refer traffic from your video to your site. It would be http://www.yoursite.com - then the description here.
1. Use Relevant Tags - Make sure your tags are relevant to your content.
2. Use Tag words in the title and description.

Eqmt. & Filming Tips:
Here is some advice and the eqmt. needed to produce nice videos for YouTube, the web, and even training DVDs.
Use a quality HD camera that shoots in wide screen. Camera should have:
- External mic jack
- Headphone jack
- Manual white balance
- Manual focus
- Manual exposure control
Use a tripod, do not hand hold the camera and try to film; it won't be steady enough.
Come in tight around the subject being filmed. Do not have a lot of empty space above their heads.
Have proper lighting facing the subject. Do not have lots of light behind the subject.
Lighting is usually the standard 3 light set up. Key light, fill light, and back light.
- Use natural color fluorescent lights on light stands.
Use a good Lavalier Microphone that you can plug in directly to the camera. Do not use the camera’s mic.
Here's are suggestions of some good eqmt. that you can purchase from Amazon. Just click on the link.
Kodak Play Touch HD Video Camera - $132.50
Remote - $8.55
Memory Card - $19.66
Lavalier Microphone - $21.72
Tripod with Mounting Plate- $19.93
5-in-1 Collapsible Reflector $19.95
Good video editting software:
Sony Creative Software Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 - $49.95
Adobe Premiere Elements 10 - $72.94
Royalty free music is very important:
www.FreeStockMusic.com - this is a great site to get some free music to start with.
www.smartsound.com - this site has free software called Sonic Fire Pro that allows you to take their music and customize it to exactly what you need for your project. You have to purchase the music but it's a great option.
Writing your script:
You don't want your video to be more then 2 minutes long. Use this as a guide to the length.
180 words = 60 seconds; 225 words = 75 seconds; 270 words = 90 seconds
Keep in mind your target market and include what would be most important to your potential customers; things that would encourage them to give you business, how your business solves their problem or makes their life easier.
1. Research related businesses and see what videos your competitors are doing, if any. Write down what you liked most about your favorite videos, and make a list of the key attributes that you may want included in your own
video. Don't copy them, be sure your video is original, but do the research to see what their doing and what you like about them.
2. What is the overall message that you want to get across?
3. List in detail the services or products that you want highlighted?
4. Where do you do business and what communities do you serve?
5. What year did you start your business?
6. If you have a company tag line, write it down and use it.
7. Write down exactly what you provide?
8. What makes you different then your competitors? (why someone should hire your business over someone else)
9. Do you have any special awards or recognition that should be mentioned?
10. Are you with the Better Business Bureau? What is your rating?
11. Is there anything on your website that you want highlighted? If so, what is the webpage address and what do you want pointed out?
12. What is the “call to action” (something you want them to do at the end of the video), write that down.
Of course if you would rather hire a professional, we am here to help you with all of your video production needs.
